We stumbled upon Lokal while walking around the neighborhood looking for lunch spots. The staff was extremely friendly and the ambiance is excellent, but the food… the food is truly outstanding. We enjoyed it so much that we made a reservation to return for dinner the same evening (do make a reservation as it is often quite busy).
The second trip was even better than the first. Every dish we ordered was amazing and the staff (notably Zaid) was equally attentive and friendly. The oxtail and croquettes were our favorite dishes.
I highly recommend Lokal and look forward to returning whenever we are back in the city. It is truly a standout in a city with a very high bar for food quality. Fantastic!- Tipo de comida

Divina The tuna and the salmon tataki was one of first to arrive, and what a way to start. Absolutely brilliantly balanced umami and freshness. The four of us ordered (and finished) 7 very decently portioned dishes, two desserts and 8 drinks, we would have happily stayed here the whole night and ate ourselves into a coma. Get the piña colada （non alcoholic) Nothing could be faulted. Muy Deliciosa

Aged beef tagliata is the dish they fire up and is cooked to perfection. Crispy Oxtail was good and different from the usual oxtail dishes. Outstanding on every level. Service, food, ambience. Zaib is excellent at his job. The support staff and the bartenders constantly rush to make sure your evening is perfect. We have the oxtail and the pork shoulder so tender. A perfect evening.

Excellent neighborhood restaurant. Attentive staff. The rocket salad, patatas bravas, steak tagliata, beef gazpacho, and chicken croquet were all excellent as was the red sangria. Would come back in a second. Zaib and Chris were our servers who did and amazing job!!!

Delicious food! 10 of 10 For sure recommend that place to have lunch with a variety of local dishes We also tasted that specifically steak. Ok, it worth each euro of its price. Guys who served us were extremely nice and hospitable. Zaib even stopped me when I was going to order more and more food)

Loved this place so much we came twice within three days for dinner during our vacation. The server, Zaib gave us great recommendations and was very good at this job. Attentive and quick, also very high energy. We really enjoyed everything here and the experience! Steak, Mexican burger, salmon tartare, and goat cheese salad… all delicious! Would highly recommend!

Recommended by someone from Barcelona from the US. We were thoroughly impressed. The service, the food, atmosphere and ambience or outstanding. The chef is clearly an artist. We were blown away frankly. Zain was able to offer us recommendations which were 100% on point. I can’t go wrong place is spectacular!

Limited options means they excel at what they do have on the menu. We got the goat cheese and pear salad, chicken croquettes, spicy potato’s, and pork cheek. DO NOT MISS OUT ON THE PORK CHEEK! I’m a big fan of all pig dishes but this one is in my top 5 ever. I can’t tell if it’s dressed in fennel or star anise, but either way, the depth of flavor and how tender the meat was puts it in my top 5. Don’t sleep on this place, you won’t regret it. Everything was EXCEPTIONAL, food, service and the atmosphere. We ordered 5 tapas, 2 plates of bread with tomato, 2 sangrias and 1 Catalan Cream. Everything was TOP!!! Highly recommend. Reservation is recommended but if you arrive not later than 7:30, they will find a table for you.

The octopus was melt in your mouth. The black rice was perfectly cooked and the oxtail was divine.
Would highly recommend to book a table here as upon opening, there were people already waiting. We all said how much we enjoyed our meal and would most certainly be back when we're back in Barcelona.- Servicio

Table right away at 19:15. Every thing was excellent. The crispy bread with crunch louder than my upstairs neighbors. The crispy oxtail is also amazing. Super crispy wrap around flavorful oxtail. What a great stop. Zaib is the man

Great local bar in Barcelona owned by a Romanian team. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, and the staff are super friendly and attentive. We had traditional Spanish appetizers that were really tasty, and the beef tagliatelle was perfectly cooked. Overall, a great mix of delicious food, warm service, and good vibes. Definitely recommend!
